2Quality not a strong pointJun 07, 2009
By G. D. Curry
On the surface, this seems like a great value. Typical golf discs run about $8 each and bags are about $15 separately. In theory this is about a $50 value for only $29, but that's really a little deceptive.

The bag is very flimsy and after only a month of carrying it around, the strap pad has fallen off, the divider has come out and the towel has frayed almost to the point of coming loose. The discs are a little better, except that they're just not as good for golf as the Innova discs. The putter is so stiff it may as well be a mid-range. The driver isn't really a straight fast driver, it's a turnover. A turnover has its uses and I keep it in my bag, but I generally use it in cases where I might lose it in the water (and it won't be a huge loss if I do). The mid-range is really the only decent disc in the bag.

The mini-disc marker is pretty nice, and the DVD is worth a look, but in general I would recommend beginners check on YouTube for videos about disc golfing and buy the Innova starter kit instead. I don't know how good their bag is, but their discs are far superior.

2Get what you pay forOct 09, 2009

There is an Innova starter set that had three discs but no bag or marker disc. I really wish I would have got that one instead like my friends did. I've used the set in 3 games so far. The zipper on the bag is broken and the driver disc shattered in the last game. The tree it hit was about 100ft away and smashed like a car ran over it. Before it smashed however, the driver worked very well.

1It's not "Frisbee" GolfDec 17, 2009

Wham-o is good for chuckin' around in the back yard, but if you want to get into disc golf forget about it. Performance golf disc design is a science and Wham-o has been left in the dust. Check out Innova or Discraft. They have taken disc flight to a whole new level and it's still a low budget sport. Good Luck!

2Broke the first day!!!Jan 17, 2010
By Anne Hepner
I purchased two of the Frisbee Golf Fly Right Starter Sets and gave them as Christmas gifts. The driver and the mid-range frisbees in both sets cracked on the first day (Christmas day) that they were used. The putters are fine as they were never used. Is there any way that we could have our money refunded for this inferior product?

2Arrived Broken and UsedDec 02, 2009

This bag was so badly crafted that it looks like it was training day at the sweatshop. And if you have shopped around on this website you are probably reading this review because you want the value of a set that comes with a bag, right? The stitching where the strap joins the bag was obviously irregular and crooked with loose threads and the backing material is freyed around the unfinished, plastic-y edges. The zipper was off track, but my husband got it back on. The white disk had a brown scuff at the top, and had obviously been used, there was some white plastic looking stuff on the edge of the blue one. There were numbers written in sharpie marker on the backs of the disks. The quality of the terrycloth towel is dismal. The logo is crooked, the towel let go it's terry loops as I plucked it from the bag to review, and it has a cheap plastic clip. If you laundered it you would have a shrunken mess. You could see beams of light through the cloth. Overall, this is something that just is not worth thirty dollars. I cannot comment upon the performance of these disks at all because I bought this for a Christmas present. This is not a classy, quality item.
